It takes the main players.
There are many players in the biblical account of the first Christmas. Of course there were Mary and Joseph, but there were also shepherds, wise men, and an inn keeper. Most importantly there was the Christ Child. God was behind it all blending the pieces of the story to create a live encounter that literally changed history and gave the world its savior. More > |

It takes volunteers from our county and beyond.
I am currently a graduate student in the City and Regional Planning program at Clemson University and spend a few hours of my week at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Greenville. It takes partners.
As we continue to build Habitat houses, we continue to learn. We learn where to improve. We learn about our employees who give of their time to help another person. Our employees learn about each other, often times co-workers that they didn’t know.

Our Christmas Story
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” - Luke 2:8-14
