We got this email from Habitat International today about the Cost of Home Campaign, and we wanted to share!

“The Cost of Home campaign was a huge success. In just five years, Habitat for Humanity helped more than 9.5 million people gain improved access to affordable housing. Your organization helped make this happen! As one of the more than 400 Habitat organizations that worked at all levels of government to advance policy and system changes, your commitment to advocacy helped unlock opportunities for safety, stability, and prosperity for individuals in communities across the nation.

In recognition of your contributions to the Cost of Home campaign, Habitat for Humanity International extends our sincerest thanks and awards you the following certificate. Thank you again for being a strong advocate and supporter of the campaign.

Cost of Home accelerated Habitat’s capacity to advocate and united us around a nationwide approach to increasing home affordability. As we move beyond the Cost of Home campaign, Habitat must build on the momentum. Under Habitat Voices in Action, we are uniting together toward even greater systemic change by committing to advocacy as a central part of how we serve our communities and advance our vision. This isn’t another five-year campaign; it is a sustained commitment. We hope that you will continue your strong engagement and investment in advocacy as we live into this commitment together.

Collectively, and thanks to your continued support over the last five years, we have reduced barriers to home affordability facing families throughout the U.S. We look forward to what more we will accomplish together as we continue to advocate for policies and systems change that make homeownership more affordable and accessible for all. “

Habitat Greenville is proud to be part of such an amazing effort, and we thank everyone who helped to make this happen.”
