Habitat homes are designed to be practical and affordable—spacious enough to meet the needs of the families who live in them, yet modest in size to help reduce construction and upkeep costs. We prioritize the use of quality, locally sourced materials and incorporate designs that reflect the local climate and cultural character. Typical construction features include wood framing, gypsum board interior walls, vinyl siding, and asphalt shingle roofs.
Below are some common floor plans. Actual floor plans will vary based on the location of the home. Floor plans are selected by Habitat. The number of bedrooms will be determined by the size of the household.
Once purchased, homeowners are responsible for the maintenance on the home. Each home comes with a one year warranty on workmanship. After the one year period, all repairs are the responsibility of the homeowner. Normal wear and tear maintenance as well as lawn care is the responsibility of the homeowner immediately upon purchase of the home. There is a separate 10-year warranty for the HVAC system and hot water heater.
